T’was a year most people will want to forget. The economy cratered, thieves and fraudsters were found to be abounding in high places. Investment banks received billions with no questions asked while automakers had to beg and grovel.
But still, Obama did get elected, and that was a political earthquake. The neocons have been neutralized as a political force and the Randian economic policies started by Greenspan are dead.
So, onward we go. 2009 will probably be at least as turbulent as 2008 too.
