Obama and netroots

What netroots doesn’t quite understand yet is that Obama didn’t need their advice about using the Net because he clearly already lives there. He has a Mac laptop, is addicted to his Blackberry, his election night photos are on Flickr, and his weekly speeches go to YouTube. His campaign website was a model of what political social networking should and can be.

He didn’t have to get the netroots message about using the Net to organize because he already knew it. As for the political netroots message, Intoxination points out that he mostly ignored it, especially the part about going heavily negative during the campaign, and it was a good thing he did.

As for howls from some of the progressive blogosphere that Obama apparently is not a liberal, well, he never said he was!
