Bury co2 under Pacific near California?

This plan to bury co2 8,000 feet deep in rock 200 miles off California seems 1) expensive and 2) risky to me.

How could they possibly guarantee the co2 wouldn’t accidentally be released during an earthquake? Rather than screwy schemes like this, we need to cut back on co2 emissions instead.

  1. The corporate world will keep coming up with lots of crazy schemes that they can make a lot of money from but won’t change a thing. It’s a policy of carry on screwing the planet, we can fix it.
