Out of the blue, Dawn and I checked the National Geographic documentary of their sons’ 50th anniversary climb last night. Had no idea.

PS A famous mountaineer, I forget his name, who has summited Everest several times said, you don’t conquer Everest. you sort of sneak up on it then get the Hell down.
