Photo taken in our backyard. Deer ticks crawl up plants, wait for something mammalian to pass by, hop on for a free ride and start munching. There were hundreds of them. Did I mention they are carriers of Lyme disease? Sue was convinced these were deer ticks but after posting about it on our gardening blog, it now appears they are red aphids not deer ticks.
It matters not, we’ve called in an air strike.
Onions. Plant onions with your ‘matos, no aphids.
We plant onions in our garden, and I must admit, we have no aphids. Wish they worked on chinch bugs!
