1. The sentiment’s fine, the song is pretty lame. It’s no Fixin’ To Die Rag, that’s for sure.

2. Well, Fixin’ to Die was a once-in-a-generation song…

   He said he wrote the Rag in fifteen minutes. and mentioned on his website somewhere that his parents were ‘American Communists’ and that influence showed through in the song.
