Letters sent by the American Enterprise Institute (AEI), an ExxonMobil-funded thinktank with close links to the Bush administration, offered the payments for articles that emphasise the shortcomings of a report from the UN's Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC).</i> Could it be that bribery is the only option left to such a morally bankrupt corporation and the administration that supports it? Unfortunately, your rant falls in line with most liberals, and my amusement turns to disappointment when I realize your not joking. Please inform us of the "obvious truth" you speak of. Please enlighten us on how a warming trend can be, without a doubt, caused by mankind. Have you contemplated the ramification of your demands should this be a purely natural occurrence? I'm sure our philosophical differences will never allow us to agree on the way problems should be corrected. I'm okay with that. Debate is good thing. My concern with your piece is the venom which you direct at people that simply hold a different opinion than yours. Now, I'm assuming you envision Exxon brass knowingly destroying the earth in exchange for record breaking profits, but I'm not sure you are fully aware of what Exxon actually does.
