The Dems are winning big but their leaders are still clueless and gutless.
There will be huge pressure on Joe Lieberman and Bernie Sanders, both elected as independents to the Senate, to switch to being Democrats, thus giving the Democrats the Senate (if they don’t win it outright).
The neocon agenda was destroyed tonight. Yes, there will be vicious battles ahead. But their back is broken. Slowly at first, but then faster, their neo-fascist excesses will be rolled back. In a few years Americans will view Gitmo and the neocons the way they view medieval torture chambers now, as an unspeakable barbarity from a demented era.
The People spoke tonight. Loudly.
And Lady Liberty no longer needs to worry about being waterboarded.
