CIA warned of Posada plane bomb plot

An anti-Castro militant now in a Texas jail warned the CIA months before the 1976 bombing of a Cuban airliner that fellow exiles were planning such an attack, according to a newly released U.S. government document.

And wouldn’t you know, the CIA did nothing, and 73 innocents died when the plane blew up.

Oh wait, Posada worked for the CIA, didn’t he?

NK nuke may have been a dud

There’s been no official confirmation from any source I’ve seen that the NK test was a nuke and successful. Some say it was a dud.

So how it is that Pakistan can have nukes, the US wants India to have them, but a tiny country, desperately poor with a loony leader, is somehow a Major Menace because they test a bomb that might not have even functioned properly?

The Departed

Go see it. It’s bloody and violent, yet engrossing too. The plot is beyond noir. “No one here gets out alive.” Not sure what the point is, but it’s a movie that fits our bleak, savage times, that’s for sure.

NY Times on Posada Carriles

“Castro foe puts U.S. in an awkward spot”“Awkward?” Posada has boasted of blowing up a Cuban plane, killing 73 civilians. He has unquestioned CIA ties. The US is refusing to extradite him to Venezuela even though they are legally obligated to do so - and the NY Times merely calls this “awkward” for the US government, like it’s a messy PR problem that needs to be spun.

Mass murderer and terror supported and financed by the US are way more than “awkward.” While it’s certainly helpful Times ran this article, because it will give the case international attention, why did it take them so long to do so and why is the article so timid in criticizing the US government?

FreeTheFive has lots on the terrorist Posada and the US government support of his activities that spans decades and both parties.

True Christianity

Amish attended the funeral of the man who murdered five of their young girls and showed so much support and love to the widow and her children that she was overcome with emotion, as were many others.
