They have an excellent jazz, international and classical collection and some fine old movies and opera on DVD. You won't be far from Laser Blazer in Rancho Park on Pico & Prosser. BHPD has the fastest response time of any police dept in the country. However, someone who lives there says (jokingly?) Prices aren't cheap either. My brother in Keller, TX bought a house with a huge backyard, two floors, four bedrooms and many other amenities and it only cost him $150,000. A similar home here would be probably be around $400,000 in the San Juan area ($600,000 in an affluent area like the beach-front hotel-laden suburb named Isla Verde), or probably $300,000 out of the San Juan Metro Area. But, I'd say that most of the homes are made of concrete to withstand hurricanes and whatnot and thus you have bigger materials cost.
