Wildfire increase linked to climate

Higher temperatures over 34 years — rather than land-use changes — have led to more blazes, researchers say. They’re sure it’s not a fluke.
A White House spokesperson denounced the report as “obvious work by actual scientists intent on proving their point by using facts,” saying the fires were “clearly the work of terrorists who hate freedom” and called for the militarization of the Forest Service and the arming of Smokey The Bear.
