From the LA Times, Monday morning. “John Heartfield found the pencil ‘too slow’ to ridicule Hitler, so he made his point with photo montages, as illustrated in a Getty show.”
” ‘Whoever Reads Bourgeois Newspapers Becomes Blind and Deaf: Away With the Stultifying Bandages!‘by John Heartfield appeared in the Arbeiter Illustrierte Zeitung (Workers Illustrated News) in 1930.”
