Operation Yellow Elephant

The objective of Operation Yellow Elephant is to recruit College Republicans and Young Republicans to serve as infantry. They demanded this war and now viciously support it. It’s only right that they also experience it.

Liberal blogs are having fun tweaking the noses of the Right with this, inquiring of right wing blogs, hey, if you support the war so vehemently, why aren’t you enlisting? A good point indeed. Yet … this implies support for the war is a partisan issue, with the Dems opposed and the Repubs for, and it’s hardly that. The Senate recently voted 99-0 to extend funding for the war. A unfied ruling class that favors continued war regardless of what the populace wants is the real target, not Republican frat boys.

Bush admits earth not flat

US President George Bush is now ready to concede that climate change has scientific basis, and that collective action is required over global warming. Until now, Mr Bush has adopted an intransigent position, insisting there is no scientific basis to conclude that there is such a phenomenon as global warming.

In related news, The Department of the Interior announced that without all that darned snow in the northern parts of the US during winter that we’ll all get more work done and that global warming is thus good for business so we shouldn’t do anything to prevent it from happening.

Rumors that Halliburton has secretly bought up all the sun screen lotion companies in advance of the just-leaked Bush initiative, “Mandatory SPF-40 Protection for All” are probably false, as is talk that Cheney is linking opposition to this initiative to terrorism.
