A friend who was arrested for civil disobedience yesterday at Vons headquarters reports he and others happily spent their time in jail planning how to build stronger picket lines and most especially, how to build for the big labor rally on Jan 31.
If you live in LA, the best possible way to aid the stike is to come to the rally. Let’s make this massive!! Tell everyone you know, and bring them along! The march and rally is being jointly organized by UFCW locals, the LA County Federation of Labor, the State Federation of Labor and by now, probably also the national AFL-CIO. Yes, they are bringing in the big dogs for this one. Be there!
