Saddam caved, Bush invaded anyway
Our soldiers are dying in vain – Saddam capitulated and was rebuffed by Bush.
It’s stories like this one, coupled with an announcement of another major call-up of reserves for next year, that spell the beginning of the end for George W. Bush.
According to both ABC News and the New York Times tonight, Saddam Hussein virtually capitulated to Bush’s demands in the weeks before the war, and made an offer of full US inspections, and assistance with the capture and turnover of a major Al Qaeda figure.
As if any of that mattered to Bush… Saddam was never the real reason for invading anyway.
