“A leaked US intelligence report has cast fresh doubt on the coalition claims that Iraq had banned weapons which served as justification for going to war. 

The secret September 2002 Pentagon intelligence report concluded that there was “no reliable information” that Iraq had biological or chemical weapons. 

It is believed the report was widely circulated in the Bush administration at a time when senior officials were putting the case for military action”.

We will focus on a wide range of issues, including (but not limited to) countries that the Bush administration is attacking, social service cuts versus military spending, racist repression at home, and the expansion of U.S. militarism globally.

We encourage local organizers to use these resources to carry out mass leafleting and tabling campaigns in cities around the country. A.N.S.W.E.R. national organizers are available to speak at forums, teach-ins and community meetings.”

Santana to donate concert tour proceeds to fight AIDS

“Award winning American rock guitarist Carlos Santana says he will donate the proceeds from his 2003 US tour, which begins on 13 June to fight HIV/Aids in South Africa.

He said he hoped to raise about $3m to go to the Artists for a New South Africa’s Amandla Aids Fund (Ansa) to help fight the disease in Africa.

Santana called on all artists to “join us in spreading a spiritual virus, a masterpiece of joy on this planet”.

Carlos Santana has always been a class act. His generosity further demonstrates that.

Most illogical

“A senior Bush administration official said Friday that a Defense Intelligence Agency report from September 2002, which stated “there is no reliable information on whether Iraq is producing and stockpiling chemical weapons,” did not conflict with the U.S. case that Iraq had weapons of mass destruction.”

Methinks their “Black is white because we say it is” logic is wearing a bit thin.

Seen above aboard Walter Cronkite’s sailboat on August 25, 1998, the photo was snapped as Cronkite took his guests for an outing off Martha’s Vineyard. The excursion took place just ten days after Mrs. Clinton claimed she had banished her husband from family activities after he admitted the truth about Monica Lewinsky.”
