U.S. Activist killed by bulldozer…

U.S. Activist killed by bulldozer in Gaza Strip

The Israelis said they didn’t see her, even though she was wearing a bright orange jacket.

Democracy Now reported this morning that eyewitnesses said Rachel had been standing there for ten minutes talking to the bulldozer operators with a bullhorn. They then ran over her, and backed up.

You decide. How could the bulldozer not see her? Even our own government is calling for a full explanation.

Nonviolent civil disobedience coming to…

Nonviolent civil disobedience coming to a city near you

We are on the verge of mass protest and civil disobedience not ever seen in this country, and that includes the Vietnam war days. Phase One was the massive protests, Phase Two will be massive civil disobedience.

United for Peace has full contact info for fifty two cities where civil disobedience is being planned.

The Iraq Pledge of Resistance is a “campaign of nationally coordinated nonviolent civil disobedience to oppose war in Iraq, sponsored by over a dozen major U.S. peace groups.” They are organizing nationwide too.

Today, Monday Mar 17, major actions include:
D.C. United for Peace begins a week of nonviolent civil disobedience.
N.Y.C. St. Patrick’s Day Action at the U.S. Mission to the U.N.
S.F. Direct Action Against War plans to shut the financial district down.

Upcoming civil disobedience after start of war
Will take place from 6 hours to 6 days after U.S. military attack. Most will happen within 48 hours. Those listed “in process” are still planning their actions.

Migrating birds could fly into…

Migrating birds could fly into war

“The threat of war in Iraq has ornithologists in a flap as millions of birds make their way across the country on their annual spring migration to northern breeding grounds. ‘At this time of year, March-April, you have the greatest number of birds in Iraq‘ ”

Deep Audit speaks:

The Deep Audit paranoia index is higher today.

Yesterday’s mail came … all the bills were unopened …

Personal handwritten envelope from the treasurer of a charity where I volunteer … opened, and the envelope flap neatly tucked inside.

Just like the last piece of handwritten personal mail I received.

Someone (quite reliable) at the Saturday demo in L.A. told me he tried to make a $10,000 contribution to ANSWER using PayPal. Not only did PayPal refuse the transaction, he hasn’t been able to use the credit card since… He said “I don’t believe in conspiracy theories but …”

Remember: No matter how paranoid you are, the bastards are always doing more than you think they are.

Waging Peace

Dr. Robert Muller, former assistant secretary general of the United Nations, and one of the people who witnessed the founding of the U.N., says the global body is fulfilling its ultimate purpose: “Never before in the history of the world has there been a global, visible, public, viable, open dialogue and conversation about the very legitimacy of war”.
