Neighbors for Justice & Peace
This grassroots organization in the Silverlake area of Los Angeles is doing lots of neat stuff, including;
Holding weekly peace vigils in multiple neighborhoods.
Authoring a handy online guide; How to do a demo which is getting linked to by other peace groups.
Proposing that the L.A. City Council pass a resolution opposing an Iraq War.
And, of course, they continue to raise money for their billboard, which is at the highly visible intersection of Sunset & Hollywood.
It’s inspirational what an active grassroots group can do!
